    i once took the coastal train from san diego to santa barbara. the ocean so wind swept and impossible blue. suddenly the landscape was transformed by thousands of stuffed neon teddy bears on the sides of the tracks as we continued on. so bazaar…the glaring world of consumerism splayed out across the natural landscape.
