an event that you can sometimes set your watch by and other times… an eternity…
Simple pleasure: getting a nice letter from a friend! YOur haiku brings those lovely memories back… (I now live in an apartment and have to go outside – walk a ‘street’ to the building entrence – and go downstairs to find my mailbox… not that fun anymore!)

Dear Mark: Thanks for reminding me that I need to trek to the mailbox. It’s full. . . when it gets cold, I can’t get the key to turn so the mail collects until it’s warm enough for the lock to function.

Although we don’t get snow at our house, we do get lazy about checking the mail, simply because most of it’s junk, and why bother? 🙂
