The ultimate trinity…
The word that inspires me to ponder your various meanings is ‘spirit.’ It adds so much depth to the poem, and not because of the obvious place my mind went first. You never disappoint me, M.
Multi-layered depth. Each line could have various meanings. Amazing haiku.
Three companions—inseparable, I presume.
My Sole Companions
A picnic, a benediction, or perhaps both–I like the layers of this one.

Essentials for walking the way of St James.
And a whole host of other saints too, I presume. St. Mary Magdalene? Is she one of them? Or St. Bathsheba? Or St. Eve? Maybe saints come in shades and stripes that we fail to recognise. But what do I know?
A lot more Saints than me that’s for sure!

The dividing path between hell and earth goes right through the two meaning of spririt 🙂
